Welcome to the Troop 61 - Wooster, Ohio web site! Our goal is to provide you with useful information about our troop to improve communication and promote internal and community support for what we do for boys, their families and for our community.

Troop 61 - Wooster, Ohio has been serving the Wooster area since 1913.

Monday, November 3, 7:00 p.m. Regular Meeting @ Church House

  • Class A Uniform
  • Troop Elections--You must be present to be elected. Scouts running for office should plan on attending all campouts, patrol leaders' council meetings and Courts of Honor for the next six months.
  • Last day to turn in popcorn order forms and money
  • Prepare for Tuscazoar campout $10/person (please bring cash)

Tuesday, November 4, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Wayne County Board of Elections, 200 Vanover Street

  • Red Troop 61 T-shirts. Unload voting booths and materials from cars and carry them to loading dock at Board of Elections office.
  • SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED SCOUTS ONLY

Friday, November 7, 5:30 p.m. Meet @ Church House Parking Lot

  • Depart for Camp Tuscazoar
  • Eat dinner Friday before arriving or bring your own with you.
  • Bring money for breakfast stop at McDonald's Sunday morning
  • Return by 12 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9

Monday, November 10, 7:00 p.m. Patrol Leaders' Council @ Church House

  • Class B Uniform
  • Both "old" youth leaders and those elected on November 3 should be in attendance
  • Review Tuscazoar campout
  • Plan Fall Court of Honor
  • Plan December Meetings

Monday, November 17, 7:00 p.m. Fall Court of Honor @ Church House

  • Class A Uniform with Merit Badge and/or OA sashes
  • Patrol Leaders' Council should arrive at 6:15 p.m. to set up

Monday, November 24, NO MEETING

Monday, November 25, 5:30 p.m. Pack 61 Raingutter Regatta @ Church House

  • Class A Uniform
  • All scouts and leaders should attend
  • Help set up and run the event for Pack 61

Swimming Merit Badge and Rank Advancement Swimming on Saturday mornings with Martin Lubell

Mr. Lubell has begun meeting with scouts on Saturday mornings at the WHS swimming pool to supervise those scouts that need to complete swimming requirements for Second Class and First Class ranks. He is also working with scouts seeking to complete the Swimming merit badge. Mr. Lubell will be at the WHS pool on the following Saturdays:

  • November 15 at 10 a.m.
  • November 22 at 10 a.m.
  • December 13 at 10 a.m.

There is a $4/person/session fee to enter the swimming pool if you don't have a pool membership. You will need to attend at least 3 of the sessions if you wish to complet the merit badge. Please e-mail Mr. Lubell if you are planning on attending so he will know to expect you. Please contact Mr. Lubell if you have any questions martin.u.lubell@gmail.com
