Saturday, August 23: 2nd Annual OA OX Roast and Merit Badge Day at 7 Ranges
a) Not an official Troop organized activity
b) This is an individual organized activity as discussed during the recent regular meetings
c) Additional information at www.buckeyecouncil.org or www.sipp-0.oa-c4a.org
d) Fee: age 6-12 (after 8/15: $8); age 13+ (after 8/15: $12) to include one meal
e) Proceeds to be donated to the facility maintenance and improvement fund for Buckeye Council Camps
Monday, August 25: 7:00 pm at the Church House.
a) Class B uniform and Scout Handbook
b) Salesmanship Merit Badge continues under the direction of Mr. Allen Englehart
c) Organize for the September campout at Camp Buckeye (9/12-14)
a. Saturday morning may include advancement activities and a service project
b. Saturday afternoon may include advancement activities and the traditional hike to the falls and cave
c. More senior scouts are requested to attend to help teach the younger scouts
d. Organize for patrol cook
e. Approximate cost: $10 for food and $4 for camping
f. Total Fee: $14 (Bring the Money to this Meeting)
d) Scoutmaster Conference and Board of Review if needed
e) Bring you Spaghetti Dinner Tickets and Money
f) Continue to organize for the Spaghetti Dinner
g) Begin registration process for the October campout at 7Ranges

f. We must submit registration by October 3, 2009 (NOTE: We do not have another Regular Meeting before October 3, that is why we must begin registration and collection of funds at the August 25th Meeting)

a) Location: Wooster United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm
b) Attendees: Popcorn Kernel (Mr. Allen Englehart) and associates

Monday, September 8: NO REGULAR MEETING (FAIR DAY) – HAVE FUN / BE SAFE
Friday, September 12: 5:30 pm at the Church House
a) Meet at the Church House at 5:30 pm to leave for Camp Buckeye
b) Return to Wooster on 9/14 by approximately 12 noon
Monday, September 15 or Tuesday, September 16: No Regular Meeting
a) Meatball Night in preparation for the Spaghetti Dinner
b) Approximate time between 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
c) Approximately one hours shifts

Tuesday, September 23: SPAGHETTI DINNER
a) All scouts report the Church House NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM in Class A uniform (No merit badge or OA sashes)
b) Job selection to be held at 4:00 pm starting with the scouts who sold the most tickets
c) Be prepared to work until at least 8:00 pm

ADDITIONAL NATIONAL INFORMATION AND DATES TO CONSIDER:
2010 National Scout Jamboree (July 23 to August 4, 2010 at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia):
The Buckeye Council 2010 National Scout Jamboree Contingent (comprised of 8 adults and 72 boys) is close to filling all the 72 youth spaces. As of 8/14 it was reported that there were 10 openings available for boys.
The requirements include being a First Class Scout at the time of attendance at the jamboree in July/August 2010; have completed 7th grade or be at least 12 years of age by 1/1/2010 and have not reached his 18th birthday by July 25, 2010.
If you will meet these requirements and have an interest in attending please contact me for further information.
There is a 2010 NSJ Scholarship Application available.
